Cancellation Policy

At Pam Saunders-Ward Psychology, we understand schedules can change and unforeseen circumstances can arise. To ensure we can accommodate all of our valued clients, we kindly request adherence to our cancellation policy.

 

1. Cancellation Notice:

 

Clients must notify us of cancellations or appointment changes at least 72 hours in advance.

To cancel or reschedule, please contact us directly.

 

2. Late Cancellations:

 

Cancellations made within > 72 hours of the appointment time will incur a 50% charge of the scheduled service cost.

 

Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment time will incur a 100% charge of the scheduled service cost.

 

Failing to show up for your scheduled appointment without prior notification will result in a 100% charge of the scheduled service cost.

Repeat no-shows may result in future services to be cancelled at the discretion of Pam.

It is important to note that third party funders such as WorkCover / WorkSafe Victoria, DVA do not pay late cancellation or missed appointment fees. These are your responsibility even if your treatment is normally funded by the Third Party.

 

This fee compensates our team for the time that was set aside specifically for you.

 

3. Exceptions:

 

We recognize emergencies and special circumstances can occur. Exceptions to our policy are made on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of Pam Saunders-Ward.

Zero Abuse Policy

 

This practice is committed to providing a safe and respectful environment for all patients, staff, and visitors. We have a zero-tolerance policy for any form of abuse, harassment, or violence. This policy applies to all interactions within the practice, including in-person, telephone, and written communications. 

 

Consequences of Abusive Behaviour:

 

  • Verbal Warning:

A verbal warning may be issued for minor incidents of abusive behaviour by Pam Saunders-Ward.

  • Removal from Practice List:

In cases of serious or persistent abusive behaviour, the practice reserves the right to remove the patient from the practice list. The patient will be provided with a referral to another healthcare provider.

  • Reporting to Authorities:

In cases of physical violence or criminal behaviour, the practice may report the incident to the police.
